Refractory metal high density tungsten alloy
High density tungsten alloys with refractory metals are a type of alloy composed of tungsten as the matrix (with a W content of 90-97%) and elements such as Ni, Fe, Cu, Co, Mo, and Cr added.
According to the composition characteristics and applications of the alloy, it is divided into the main series of refractory metal high density tungsten alloys such as W-Ni Fe, W-Ni Cu, W-Ni Fe Mo, W-Cu, etc., with a density of up to 16.75-18.75g/cm3, which is known as high density alloys by the world.
The refractory metal high density tungsten alloy also has a series of excellent characteristics, with a specific gravity of 16.5-18.75g/cm3, high strength: tensile strength of 700-1200Mpa, strong radiation absorption ability: its ability is 30-40% higher than lead, and its thermal conductivity is 5 times that of mold steel; Low coefficient of thermal expansion: only 1/2-1/3 of iron or steel, with good conductivity; Has good weldability and processability. Given the excellent functions mentioned above, high density alloys are widely used in industries such as aerospace, aviation, oil drilling, electrical instruments, and medicine.
